Homestead Commons features apartment-style living, while Mill Creek Townhomes offers more spacious townhome layouts with private entries and additional room to spread out. How do I schedule a tour?

You can schedule a tour by contacting our leasing team through the website or by calling the office directly. During your visit, our team can help you explore available apartments at Homestead Commons, townhomes at Mill Creek, and the shared community amenities available to residents.

Where is the leasing office located?

The shared leasing office for both Mill Creek Townhomes and Homestead Commons is located at the Mill Creek Townhomes community at 3180 Chelsea Circle, Ann Arbor, MI 48108.

Can I tour both Mill Creek Townhomes and Homestead Commons during one visit?

Yes. Because both communities share a leasing office at Mill Creek Townhomes, our team can help you compare available apartment and townhome options during the same visit. This makes it easier to decide whether Homestead Commons or Mill Creek is the better fit for your lifestyle.

What is the application process?

After selecting your preferred apartment or townhome, you’ll complete the online application, submit the application fee and provide any required documentation. Applications are reviewed based on credit, rental history, and income.

How long does the approval process take?

Most applications are processed within 1–3 business days once all required documents are received. Timing may vary depending on how quickly the application can be verified.

What lease terms do you offer?

Mill Creek Townhomes and Homestead Commons offer lease terms ranging from 6 to 12 months, depending on availability and the time of year. Please contact the leasing office for current lease term offerings.

Is there a waitlist if the floor plan I want is not available?

Yes. If your preferred apartment or townhome is unavailable, you can join the priority waitlist by submitting an application, a $10 application fee per person. Our team will contact you when a matching home becomes available.

Pricing & Fees

What is the monthly rent?

Monthly rent varies based on the property, floor plan, home style, availability, and lease term. You can view current pricing on the Floor Plans page or contact the leasing office for the most accurate availability and rent information.

Are utilities included in rent?

Utilities are not included in the monthly rent. Residents are responsible for electricity, gas, water, sewer, trash, and optional services such as cable, internet, and phone. Please contact the leasing office for utility setup details for your specific home.

What is the security deposit amount?

Security deposit amounts vary based on screening results and may range from $200 to one month’s rent. Please contact the leasing office for details specific to your application.

Are there any application or administrative fees?

A $10 refundable application fee is required per applicant to reserve the selected home during the approval process. Once approved, the holding fee will be applied toward the security deposit. If an applicant does not meet eligibility requirements, the holding fee will be refunded.

Do you require renters insurance?

Yes, all residents are required to maintain renters insurance with a minimum liability coverage of $100,000. Please contact the leasing office for full policy requirements.

Pet Policies

Are pets allowed?

Yes! Mill Creek Townhomes and Homestead Commons are pet-friendly communities in Ann Arbor, MI. Both communities welcome pets, and our team can share full pet policy details during the leasing process.

Is there a pet fee, deposit, or monthly pet rent?

Up to two pets are allowed per home, with a $150 non-refundable pet fee, $250 refundable deposit, and $30 monthly pet rent per pet.

Are there any breed or weight restrictions?

Breed restrictions apply, along with a 75 lb weight limit at Mill Creek and 50lb at Homestead Commons. Please contact the leasing office for the most current pet guidelines.

Do you have any pet-friendly amenities?

Yes. Residents have access to pet-friendly community amenities, including a dog park and pet washing station. The nearby green spaces and residential setting also make daily walks more convenient.

Community Amenities

What amenities are available for residents?

Residents at both Mill Creek Townhomes and Homestead Commons enjoy shared access to community amenities including a resident clubhouse with billiards, resort-inspired swimming pool, sundeck with cabana day beds, outdoor fireside lounge, patio terrace with outdoor kitchen, 24-hour fitness center, business center, bike storage, dog park, and pet washing station. The community also offers monthly social activities, professional landscaping, on-site management, and 24-hour emergency maintenance.

Do you have a fitness center and/or pool?

Yes. Residents have access to a 24-hour fitness center and a resort-inspired swimming pool with a sundeck and cabana day beds. These shared amenities are available to residents of both Mill Creek Townhomes and Homestead Commons.

Is parking available and are there any additional fees?

Parking options vary by property and home type. Homestead Commons offers assigned covered parking, and Mill Creek Townhomes includes parking options associated with townhome living. Please contact the leasing office for current parking availability, pricing, and property-specific details.

Are there shared spaces like a clubhouse or co-working area?

Yes. The shared resident clubhouse includes billiards and lounge space, and the community also offers a business center for residents who need a place to work or focus outside their home. Outdoor gathering areas, including the fireside lounge and patio terrace with outdoor kitchen, provide additional places to connect with neighbors.

Do residents at both properties share the same community amenities?

Yes. Residents of both Mill Creek Townhomes and Homestead Commons have access to the shared amenity collection, including the clubhouse, pool, fitness center, business center, dog park, and outdoor gathering spaces.

Policies & Procedures

How do I pay rent?

Residents can pay rent through the online resident portal using ACH or major credit cards. Please note that processing fees may apply to debit and credit card payments. Personal checks and cashier’s checks are also accepted.

How do I submit a maintenance request?

Maintenance requests can be submitted through the online resident portal. The communities offer on-site maintenance and 24-hour emergency maintenance requests for urgent issues can be submitted by calling the office.

What is your policy for breaking a lease?

If you need to break your lease, early termination fees apply. Please refer to your lease agreement or contact the leasing office for details.

Is subletting allowed?

Subletting is not permitted without written approval from management. Please contact the leasing office for more information.

What is your guest policy?
